I am 64 years old. Just read Book 2, Venom of the Serpent's Cunning and continue to enjoy the series. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Great--as alwats
A very enjoyable read. A fun read that does a great job of connecting our everyday lives with the kingdom of Oomaldee. The book drew me in while checking it out for my 8 year old. This second book is full of lessons learned by all kids but in a world where it's a much more interesting experience. The end of the book left you hanging in anticipation of the upcoming third book wondering how everything will come together for Andy and his family as well as the people of Oomaldee. Can't wait for the next book to be published.
Awesome! I loved the new stuff that was added, the library was awesome! And Spark was pretty good too! I love how it showed Alden's caring nature a little more. Five stars, and I would recommend anyone read this!
Wow I love the imagination of this author. Loved this book every page keeps you spell bound with excitement. You just can't put the book down.
I've enjoyed reading both book 1 & book 2 (this book) in the new series. While they appear to be aimed at tween or young adult readers, as a "mature" adult, I found them both very enjoyable to read. I look forward to the remainder of the series, and will be recommending them to the next 2 generations of my family & friends.
My 10- and 12-year-old boys absolutely love the Andy Smithson series. As soon as we finished reading Venom of the Serpent’s Cunning, they begged me to buy the third book to read to them (which I happily did because I’m enjoying the series, too!). There is lots of action and adventure, but since it’s aimed at a younger audience, it’s not too intense (which is not to say it is not scary or sad at times, because it definitely can be!). I highly recommend this book and the whole series to middle grade kids on up. It makes a great read-aloud!
