Huh...well this was a totally messed up. I don't think I have ever read anything like this before. It was over the top sick, perverted and I couldn't stop reading it and that leaves me with many questions about myself. Basically, if the movie Traffic and the Netflix documentary about Ted Bundy had a love child they would call it Die, My Love.

Die, My Love is a short story with each chapter written by a different author from the very darkest part of the world of dark romance. This is not a romance, well it kind of is, if you are 50 shades of absolutely crazy (cough...Jack and Bradly...cough). Each chapter is a story in itself but is connected to all the other chapters so you can't just read the chapter by your favorite author, you need to read the whole thing. The entire book takes place over one day, Valentines Day.

Die, My Love is a total mind screw and you have to pay attention because it can become very confusing with the different characters. Addison Cain, a personal favorite of mine, is the author of chapter 2, The Connoisseur.

Beware, this is dark and twisted but very will written and executed. Now, I need to go read something with unicorns and puppy dogs in it.

Perfect title! Short chapters each tells a tiny bit of a whole, dark story. Saying that there are twists and turns does not even begin to describe the evil, the horror that you will find in these pages. And while there are glimpses of romance, don't be fooled. There was a lot of page turning as the plot twists kept coming. Each chapter was cleverly written to culminate in a surprise ending. Beautifully executed by these very talented authors-only a couple were new to me, and I’ll certainly be following their work.

Story one started off just dipping its toe in the dark and twisted but quickly spiraled into more. As each story progresses, it went deeper and deeper into agonizing wretchedness. But in the best ways.

These stories cannot be read alone, you will completely miss the entire experience and tone of the short stories. I bought this book for addison cain but I've found new authors who twist the story in the most depraved but delicious ways. These authors deserve an award, the way the seperate stories flowed together was simply amazing!

Great job, I tip my hat to you lovely authors. Though the one negative is that I need more!! Please collab again soon!
Valentine’s Day may be over, but the holiday has nothing to do with enjoying these wildly deranged characters and psychotically twisted tales of love any time of year. 7 authors cleverly weave a connected tale of darkly fractured love, all creatively bonded by an insane asylum in a nonstop flood of twists and turns. So, this is NOT a standalone because each deliciously insane story builds upon the others.

If “dark horror” is a hard limit for you, no squeamishness necessary. The stories are delicious. More creatively twisted than anything, and characters’ minds are actually much scarier than their actions. Nothing too awful to visualize at all. The anthology was just sheer genius with each author’s creative take on where the interconnected love tales and characters would lead next. Never fear, you’ll recognize character names from one story to the next, but don’t expect each tale to necessarily follow a linear flow from the previous one.

The insanity was mind-blowing and fascinating, with so many shocks I didn’t see coming. More than horror, the take-away from this joint effort is how cleverly the authors interwove the narrative. Each story deals with psychopaths yes, and a host of hidden agendas that come out in eye-popping twists and turns. Dark themes of OBSESSION, DELUSION, and COMPULSION drive the actions of these stalkers and killer-minded psychos. Their crazy deeds are beguiling and all stem from twisted focus on envy, jealousy, craving or desperation for another character or for their maniacal views of love. Characters will shift on a dime, and each shock ending just rolls into the next tale, so there is definite continuity to the flow of the anthology. But, the tales must be read in order to make sense!

The entertainment value of this anthology will blow you away. Authors such as Celia Aaron (a fav), SJ Cole, and Zoe Blake were familiar, while the others were welcome surprises. Dark, delicious, and depraved – but not more than one can handle. Strap in and enjoy because this was a hellah crazy ride.
Not a fan of anthologies, however I love Julia Sykes and stalk Celia Aaron.! So I had to check it out....But this one , I read on VDay and it was sick! Twisted! Dark! Unlike other types, it was one wicked story thru different POVs. I absolutely loved it! Quite the page turner with a dark “ oh know you just did not do that” attitude! Bravo to all the ladies who participated...and yes, I ended up one clicking on some new writers...potential stalker victims.....maniacal laugh inserted here! Don’t miss this one friends!
Oh my...wait did I get myself in to? This anthology is not what I was expecting over Valentine's. I specifically got it because I've been following Addison Cain. Of course, I know of some of the other authors as well but not as familiar with their dark romances as I am of Addison Cain. If you are looking for lovey dovey reads, you are barking up the wrong tree. The cupid for these stories is sick and depraved. His arrows are poisonous and the leading ladies won't be waking up in a fairy tale wonderland. They will wake up to a nightmare in the middle of hell. If you love dark and depraved romances, you will love this offering. However, I will not recommend it, especially if you want HEA endings. Technically though, everyone have their own interpretation so someone who enjoys this anthology can debate that HEA endings were met in each story. Let's just say, I had to take a break between each story to reflect on what I just read. You have been warned.
